COURSE UNITS
- Develop professional skills and knowledge for supporting teaching and learning in schools
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships for supporting teaching and learning in schools
- Contribute to the management of pupil behaviour
- Contribute to pupils’ learning
- Support pupils with special educational needs or disabilities
- Support the development and application of pupils’ literacy, numeracy and ICT skills
STUDY METHOD
The course is designed for study by distance learning at work or at home. Students receive course manual, assignments and studyguide plus tutor support by mail and email. You can start at any time and plan your studies over a period of up to one year from the time of enrolment.
ASSESSMENT
Each element assessed through a porfolio providing evidence of learning of each specified learning outcome.
COURSE ACCREDITATION
NCFE Level 3 Supporting Teaching & Learning in Schools
This provides successful students with a qualification listed on the National Qualifications Database.
The NCFE Level 3 Certificate in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools aims to provide progression to the NVQ in Supporting Teaching and Learning in Schools and also provides progression into employment. Learners may also progress to achieve HLTA status.
Please Note: a work placement of at least 50 hours is required to complete this option.
COURSE DURATION
Students may register at any time and have a full year to complete their studies. The course will take around 180 hours of study to complete.
